Tennessee’s Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit (EHCP) Course

Tennessee’s Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit (EHCP) is a permit that allows the holder to carry a handgun openly or concealed in 37 states.

The EHCP is valid in many areas, including public parks, waterways, and greenways, as well as on similar federal properties. To get an EHCP, you must complete an 8-hour handgun safety course, pass a written exam, pass a shooting qualification, provide two sets of fingerprints and have your photo taken. You must carry the permit with you at all times and show it to law enforcement if requested.

Please note: You will need to apply for your EHCP and have your application number prior to class. You can  apply at https://www.tn.gov/safety/tnhp/handgun/apply.html
